First post in a long time, but recently managed to get out to visit one of the best lunch time Italian restaurants hidden in the suburbs of Leeds.
Trattoria Il Forno is a quaint place, with wood logs making up the wall complemented by a great view of the roaring fire pizza oven. I’ve never been to Italy but something about this place feels authentically Italian.
A short drive from my office, it can be a bit of a nightmare to park but well worth a bit of fuss. It’s not my first visit and I’m always made to feel welcome.
It was absolutely stunning, came in around the £15 mark, but a generous portion washed down with their finest Peroni!
It was delicate but tasty, and after having a brief chat with one of the staff before I left asked if they were going to put it on the menu as a constant he said they’re still trialing it but he loved it too. They’ve got ravioli on the specials too at the moment that has absolutely made the cut though I’m informed.
Can’t recommend this place enough for lunch – quick, tasty and attentive. Yet to have a bad meal here, and will be visiting again soon!
